Destiny Matrix Money Line and Career: How to Read the Money Channel
Where money and career sit in the Destiny Matrix: the money channel, ideal career and money flow step by step, with a worked example and arcana 3 to 22.
When people search for “destiny matrix money” or “destiny matrix career”, they usually want to know one thing: what their date of birth says about earning a living and about the kind of work that might suit them. In the Destiny Matrix, a few points in the lower right part of the chart answer that question. Below we show which points they are, how to calculate them step by step for the date 15.03.1990, how to read them and what each arcanum means at the money point. At the end, we explain what this method can't tell you.
TL;DR: The money line of the matrix is three points: C1 (the money channel), the money point next to the dollar sign (the ideal career point) and the middle of the money and love line (money flow). For 15.03.1990 they are 3, 9 and 6, that is The Empress, The Hermit and The Lovers. The money point suggests a working style that may suit you. It doesn't say how much money you'll make, and it doesn't replace financial advice.
Where are money and career in the Destiny Matrix?
Money and career sit in the lower right part of the octagon, between the right corner C and the lower ray of the chart. The Numato calculator shows them in the “Money and love line” section, on the “Money”, “Middle of the line” and “Love” cards, and you'll find point C1 in the “All diagram points” table. You can also click any of these points on the chart itself.
- Material task (C) — the right corner, calculated from the year of birth. The broad theme of work and material matters. On the age scale it is the point for age 40.
- C1 — the money channel — a point on the ray from C to the center. In descriptions of the method it covers your approach to money: how you earn it, spend it and save it, and what you learn in this area.
- Money ($) — the point next to the dollar sign. The kind of work that may suit you. Destiny Matrix sites also call it the “ideal career” or “ideal profession” point.
- Middle of the line — the point where money and relationships meet. In descriptions of the method it is about money flow: what helps it and what holds it back.
These three points — C1, money and the middle of the line — are read together, from top to bottom. Together they make up what descriptions of the matrix call the money line or the finance zone. The same line carries on to the love point next to the heart, which is why the whole line is called the money and love line.

How to calculate the money line step by step
All you need is a date of birth. One rule applies throughout: replace any number above 22 with the sum of its digits, and 22 stays 22. Here is the example for 15.03.1990 — the same date we use for the matrix in our other guides:
- C — the year of birth: 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 .
- E — the center, the sum of points A, B, C and D: 15 + 3 + 19 + 10 = 47 → 11 .
- C1 — the sum of point C and the center: 19 + 11 = 30 → 3 .
- D1 — the sum of point D and the center: 10 + 11 = 21 .
- Middle of the line — the sum of C1 and D1: 3 + 21 = 24 → 6 .
- Money — the sum of C1 and the middle of the line: 3 + 6 = 9 .
- Love — the sum of D1 and the middle of the line: 21 + 6 = 27 → 9 .
Where points A, B and D come from is shown in our article on how to calculate the Destiny Matrix. In this example money and love came out the same — that is a feature of this particular date, not a rule.
Arcana 1 and 2 don't appear at any point of this line. We checked every date from 1900 to 2100: C1, the middle of the line, the money point and the love point each hold one of the arcana from 3 to 22. You don't have to do the sums by hand — the Destiny Matrix calculator works out every point and shows the calculation next to each one.
How to read the money and career points
The arcanum tells you what the theme is, and its place on the chart tells you which area of life it concerns. The same Hermit means one thing in the center and another at the money point. Here is how to read each point, using 15.03.1990 as the example.
C1 — the money channel: your approach to money
C1 describes how you approach money and what you learn through it. In the example it holds The Empress (3). Money then goes hand in hand with care and comfort: earning comes more easily when your work gives you the sense that something is being created or that someone is being helped. A typical lesson is putting a fair price on your work instead of giving it away for free.
Money point ($): the ideal career
The money point suggests the kind of work in which income comes more easily. In the example it is The Hermit (9): expert work that calls for focus and independence — analysis, research, writing, advising in a narrow field. A person with this money point usually does better with deep work than with fast-paced selling in a noisy setting.
Middle of the line: money flow
The middle of the line shows what helps money flow and what holds it up, and how money matters connect with relationships. In the example it holds The Lovers (6). Money flows more easily with clear choices and good cooperation. It gets held up by putting off decisions and by spending to make someone else happy.
Material task (C): the wider theme of work
Point C is the broad theme of material matters. In the example it holds The Sun (19), which descriptions of the matrix link with work that others can see — work whose results you can show. It is also the point for age 40 on the age scale, so around that age work may come to the fore.
Put together, 15.03.1990 gives a picture of expert, independent work (The Hermit) whose results are visible (The Sun). Money comes more easily when the work feels like creating something (The Empress) and money decisions are made on time (The Lovers). This is a starting point for questions about your own work, not a ready-made career path. How to read the other parts of the chart is covered in our guide on how to read a Destiny Matrix.
Calculate your Destiny Matrix
Money line numbers 3 to 22: the arcanum at the money point
Searches like “destiny matrix money line 8” or “destiny matrix career 19” are usually about the arcanum at the money point. Below is every arcanum that can stand there: which working style may help you earn and what may get in the way. You can use the same descriptions for C1 and the middle of the line — read them as your approach to money or as money flow. The full meaning of each arcanum is in our article on the 22 arcana in the Destiny Matrix.
3 — The Empress
Work where something gets made or someone gets looked after: making products, food and hospitality, interiors, fashion, working with children or with clients who need to feel at ease. Income grows when the work brings comfort and a visible result. What gets in the way: giving your work away for free and buying more than you need.
4 — The Emperor
Work with responsibility and structure: management, running your own business, planning, overseeing projects and budgets. A clear financial plan and well-kept paperwork help. What gets in the way: wanting to control everything yourself and sticking rigidly to the plan when the situation changes.
5 — The Hierophant
Work built on knowledge and principles: teaching, training, consulting, working in an institution, mentoring. Income comes through expertise and other people's trust. What gets in the way: working against your own values and sticking to one path only because “that's how it's done”.
6 — The Lovers
Work with people and through relationships: customer service, sales built on trust, teamwork, industries linked with looks and beauty. Good agreements and cooperation help. What gets in the way: trouble choosing, spreading yourself across too many activities and making decisions only to keep someone happy.
7 — The Chariot
Work on the move with a clear goal: projects with deadlines, sales, logistics, transport, sport, work that involves travel. Income grows when there is a direction and a pace. What gets in the way: starting many things at once without finishing them, and rushing money decisions.
8 — Justice
Work where rules and accuracy count: law, accounting, finance, quality control, data analysis, administration. Clear contracts and fair settlements help. What gets in the way: judging yourself and others too harshly, and overdue paperwork that blocks everything else.
9 — The Hermit
Expert, independent work: research, analysis, writing, programming, advising in a narrow field, remote work. Income comes through deep knowledge. What gets in the way: withdrawing into yourself and not wanting to show your work — without that, clients are hard to find.
10 — Wheel of Fortune
Work with change and turnover: trade, tourism, project-based and seasonal work, industries where a lot happens. Income may come in waves. A cash cushion for slower months helps. What gets in the way: counting on a lucky break instead of a plan.
11 — Strength
Work that takes persistence and courage: growing your own business, physical work, sport, leading people through difficult situations. Income grows through consistency. What gets in the way: working beyond your limits, digging in where it would be better to change direction, and finding it hard to ask for help.
12 — The Hanged Man
Work where a different point of view and a sense of purpose matter: creative work, social work, helping others, jobs that call for patience. Money comes more easily when the work matters to other people. What gets in the way: giving your time without being paid and putting off the decision to change jobs.
13 — Death
Work with change and clearing out: restructuring, renovation, crisis management, closing old projects and opening new ones. Income grows when you end what no longer works. What gets in the way: holding on to a job or a way of earning that has run its course.
14 — Temperance
Work that brings different things and people together: mediation, coordination, work where several fields meet, services that call for patience. A steady pace and a balance between work and rest help. What gets in the way: a lack of boundaries — endless work or saying yes to everything.
15 — The Devil
Work with influence and high stakes: sales, marketing, negotiation, entertainment, finance, luxury goods. Income can be high when you know how to persuade. What gets in the way: spending on impulse when emotions run high, debt, and working only for the money, against yourself.
16 — The Tower
Work with change and rebuilding: construction, conversions, new companies, projects that replace old solutions. Income grows after bold changes. What gets in the way: sudden money decisions and building on shaky foundations without a backup plan.
17 — The Star
Work where talent shows: design, media, art, creative work, building a brand. Money comes when your talent is put on show and given a price. What gets in the way: waiting for the perfect moment and believing you can't earn a living from what you love.
18 — The Moon
Work with imagination and emotions: film, photography, advertising, art, work with people that calls for sensitivity. Clear agreements and concrete numbers help. What gets in the way: vague arrangements, fear of talking about money and avoiding a look at the bills.
19 — The Sun
Work in the public eye: performing, leading training sessions, sales, working with children, leading a team. Income grows when you can show results and be recognized. What gets in the way: overestimating what you can do and overspending when things are going well.
20 — Judgement
Work linked with family, history or renewal: a family business, education, work with tradition, bringing things back to life. Talking openly about money in the family helps. What gets in the way: repeating family beliefs about money without checking whether they fit you.
21 — The World
Work with a wide reach: international cooperation, foreign languages, export, tourism, large projects. Income grows when the work reaches beyond one place. What gets in the way: spreading yourself across too many directions and not finishing what you start.
22 — The Fool
Work with freedom and fresh starts: self-employment, new projects, creative industries, work that involves travel. Flexibility in how you organize your time helps. What gets in the way: having no financial plan, impulse spending and quitting once routine sets in.
How to use the money line when choosing a career
- Compare the description with your experience. Think of a job where you felt good and check whether the description of your money point fits it.
- Look for common ground. When C1, the money point and the middle of the line say similar things, that theme stands out more clearly in your matrix.
- Read the line together with the rest of the chart. Talents (B) and the center show what comes easily to you. The money point suggests how to turn those talents into work.
- Check which period you're in. The age scale in the Destiny Matrix shows which theme runs at your current age.
The matrix won't replace a talk with a career counselor or a look at the job market. What it can do is prompt questions that are easy to forget: what pace you like to work at, with how many people, and what you want to be paid for.
What the money line can't tell you
The money line doesn't say how much money you'll make, when it will come or whether an investment will pay off. There is no “lucky number” in it: no arcanum at the money point means wealth or poverty. Each one has a side that helps and a side that gets in the way, so the same arcanum can describe someone who is doing well and someone who is struggling. This is the system's symbolism, not a financial forecast. Don't make important decisions about money or work based on the matrix — for financial matters, ask a professional.
Money in a couple matrix
In a matrix for two people, the same line describes shared money: which style of spending and saving may suit you as a couple. Each point of the couple chart is the sum of the same point for both people. We cover this in our article on the Destiny Matrix compatibility chart.
Sources and method
- Formulas: C1 is the sum of point C and the center, the middle of the line is the sum of C1 and D1, money is the sum of C1 and the middle of the line, and love is the sum of D1 and the middle of the line. A number above 22 becomes the sum of its digits, just as in the calculator of the school of Natalia Ladini, the author of the Destiny Matrix.
- Point names: “money channel”, “ideal career” and “money flow” are names used in descriptions of the method. In the Numato result these points are C1 in the points table and the “Money” and “Middle of the line” cards.
- Our own data: the numbers in the example and the range of arcana from 3 to 22 at the points of the line are checked by an automated test across every date from 1 January 1900 to 31 December 2100.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the money channel in the Destiny Matrix?
In the lower right part of the chart. The money line is three points read from the top: C1 on the ray from the right corner to the center (the money channel), the money point next to the dollar sign and the middle of the money and love line. In the Numato calculator the money point and the middle of the line have their own cards in the “Money and love line” section, and you'll find C1 in the table of all diagram points.
Does the Destiny Matrix show how much money I'll make?
No. The Destiny Matrix doesn't give amounts, dates or odds of profit. The money point describes a working style that may suit you, while C1 and the middle of the line describe your approach to money and what helps or hinders its flow. What you earn depends on the market, your skills and your decisions, not on the arcanum in the chart.
What career does my Destiny Matrix suggest?
The money point next to the dollar sign says the most about it; descriptions of the method call it the “ideal career” point. The arcanum there suggests a kind of work — for example, The Hermit points to expert work and The Sun to work in the public eye. Treat it as a hint to think about, not a list of jobs to choose from. It reads best together with your talents (B) and the center of the matrix.
What does money line 8 mean in the Destiny Matrix?
Arcanum 8 at the money point is Justice: work where rules and accuracy count, such as law, accounting, finance, quality control, data analysis or administration. Clear contracts and fair settlements help, while judging yourself too harshly and overdue paperwork get in the way. Every other number from 3 to 22 is described in the section on the arcanum at the money point above.
What does the same number at the money and love points mean?
It means the same arcanum describes two areas of your life: work and close relationships. For 15.03.1990 both points hold The Hermit, which can be read as a need for independence at work and for deep conversation in a relationship. A repeat like this comes from the arithmetic of a particular date and is neither better nor worse than two different arcana.
Is the Destiny Matrix career calculator free?
Yes. The Destiny Matrix calculator on Numato is free and doesn't require an account: enter a date of birth and it shows the whole chart, the money and love line and the calculation for every point. The full result is free for a few people; once you go past that limit, part of the result appears after you create a free account or with a Numato Start pass. Only the descriptive PDF reports are paid.
